We gratefully acknowledge the land on which the Jericho Arts Centre sits is the traditional, ancestral, and unceded territory of the xʷməθkʷəy̓əm (Musqueam), Sḵwx̱wú7mesh (Squamish) and Səl̓ílwətaʔ/Selilwitulh (Tsleil-Waututh) Nations.

Built in 1940, this Historical building was a Recreation Hall when the RCAF Station at Jericho Beach was the city’s main military base, a unit of Western Air Command. In 1993, under the commission by the Vancouver Parks Board, this hall turned into a theatre and performance venue, operated by a non-profit society – Friends of Jericho Arts Centre Society (FoJACS).

It is home to Resident Theatre Company – United Players of Vancouver, The Jericho Sound Arts Society, various guest theatre companies, visual artists and members of the artistic community who wish to rent the centre for classes, events and workshops.

Unfortunately, JAC has suffered a significant downtown in revenue with the effects of COVID 19 and continues to struggle as a venue for live theatre and cornerstone of the arts community in Jericho.

We urgently need your help to keep the Jericho Arts Centre alive. JAC is steered by passionate, knowledgeable and committed individuals who volunteer their time to keep the integrity of the building, programming and legacy alive.

We actively apply for grant funding in what is a very competitive arena. For us to survive, we need more financial help and therefore, we are reaching out to you – our community. Any donations you can make as a one-time gift or monthly donation is profoundly appreciated.
